How to Deal with Stress

We are all aware of the scenario – at work or at home – our day begins badly.  Could be anywhere, really. Or simply, we slept and woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Or, a carry over from yesterday’s hurt of some thoughtless people in our lives.

Or, with a partner or better-half. You are at each other’s throats.  An argument begins. Tempers flare. Accusations thrown across the room.

What can we do to stop this negative rush of adrenaline of tension that threatens a suppose to be good day?

Of course! Laughter.  We bring laughter that moment… and laugh!

Learning to Set Goals from the Experts

by Tel on February 6, 2010

While thinking on what to post, the brilliant Aristotle came rushing in my mind. He said: “First, have a definite, clear practical ideal; a goal, an objective. Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends; wisdom, money, materials, and methods. Third, adjust all your means to that end.”

The sage made it sound so easy, but by George, this is no feat. A big challenge.

Comes to mind, all these Internet marketing and thousands upon thousands of online business opportunities all over the Web.  How come others are doing very well, while others are getting few cents share?  You know what can be done, that is, those of us on the other side of the spectrum who are struggling to pick up our share? We can visit and stay awhile to the sites of these successful Internet marketing gurus, study their tips, and find out what they are doing. Who knows, we might get the same results or better.

I think when we study the interviews, biographies and autobiographies of these successful people, we will find that they all have one quality in common.  They are highly productive and they get more things done in the same period of time than an average person.

There are thousands of business gurus out there who motivate and stimulate. Maybe some of them are followers of Aristotle.

Random Reflection on Friendship

February 5, 2010

I get the feeling that the strongest and most enduring friendships are not necessarily the oldest ones. They’re often those forged in the fire of adversity. Maybe this happens because emergencies heighten our senses and, at the same time, make us vulnerable.
… although not all the time.
Many people, and some of them we thought were [...]

Writing from the Inner Self

January 27, 2010

Writing from the inner-self comes from a real place within us, one that inspires our imagination and frees our creativity. I believe that each of us has a story to tell, a one-of-a kind experience. Nobody else can write what we as individuals feel but ourselves, no matter how much we describe our innermost sentiments [...]
